someday....

the weekend went faster than i thought it would
and
the bumps along the way left me bruised and confused
::
i'll remind him all about it someday when he's a parent
and
feels a bit out of control while raising his own children
and
i'll hide my smile
as i thank god for paybacks

  2. Oh yes, my daughter is only 10 but I am already reminding her of payback.

When she's a parent and asks the "Did I do that" question I will be sure to remember unlike my own mum. (which must mean I was a perfect child.) LOL!

  3. Oh I so get it...and I KNOW my mom is somewhere laughing her *** off at the moment for the very same reason. Thanks so much for the comment on my poem- it is hard and sometimes a curse to feel so much isn't it? Have a wonderful day~~~

  4. Again, I so love your photography!
but I can relate to the topic, I can't wait for my 15 year old "hormonal" daughter to get her payback! She is driving me crazy!
However, I secretly wish she wouldn't get any older!
They are growing too quickly! My son (22)visited this past weekend, it's that empty nest syndrome, I guess!
    LIFE, how wonderful!

  5. So true! My hubby sent his mom a mushy mother's day card once acknowledging his misguided ways as a child and thanking her for putting up with him :) Our son was three at the time and already kicking his behind...

  14. Holy crap!! Talk about synchronicity - our photos are developing a theme today! Perhaps we're starting to set the dial to the same tune for when we meet. Supporting hugs sent your way. Yes, you'll be there to remind him when his kids are driving him nuts. That's what I fear with my son.

  15. It is interesting to see how you can take a picture of something from a slightly different angle and have it be a terrific picture.

  17. I thought the same thing when my children were growing up. Guess what? They both have chosen not to have an children and will never know the joys and sorrows of children.
